The Back Burner Restaurant: This charming restaurant, located in what was once the Sassafras Tea Room, offers off-street parking and small rooms for a warm and cozy atmosphere, but it also has a private party room that will accommodate up to 40 people for lunch or dinner and 65 people for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. In addition to the regular menu, chef Christian Losito will prepare special orders while the restaurant specializes in unique dishes such as Chilean sea bass, venison, fresh farm-raised rabbit, veal chop and osso bucco Milanese. ... Our entrees were fabulous—the grouper melted in my mouth and my guest’s lamb was prepared to a fully cooked, yet remarkably tender, medium-well doneness. While we were both pleasantly full after our entrees, we couldn’t resist the temptation of dessert following our server’s "mouthwatering" descriptions. I must admit, I am so glad we decided NOT to share! I ordered the Creamy French Lemon Cheesecake, my guest the St. Honore Cake ($6.50 each). While the generous slices were certainly enough for two people to share, I recommend ordering your own—you can always take the remainder home for a delicious snack the next day!
